Nancy Morris Whitmer

Mrs. Nancy Morris Whitmer, age 86, of Murray, Kentucky died Friday, April 26, 2019 at her home in Murray Kentucky.
Mrs. Whitmer was born on September 5, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Uriah Chesterfield Morris and Lorraine Morris.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Daniel Whitmer; as well as her daughter, Elizabeth Hollis Whitmer.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Whitmer of Louisville, Kentucky and John Whitmer and wife Tina of Birmingham, Alabama; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Whitmer of Birmingham, Alabama.
She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Murray, Kentucky, serving as the organist from 1965 to 2011. She was also a longtime member of the board of Sewanne Church Music Conference and remained active in that capacity.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 1620 W. Main Street, Murray, Kentucky 42071. The family request that, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made as donation in her memory to the St. John's Episcopal Church, 1620 W. Main Street, Murray, Kentucky 42071.
