Mrs. Naomi Jane Garland

Mrs. Naomi Jane (Chadwick) Garland, age 84, of Kirksey, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Garland was born on March 16, 1940, in Almo, Kentucky to the late Edward Chadwick and Thelma Lee (Morris) Chadwick. She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee “Joe” Garland; one son, Greg Garland; as well as two brothers, Steve and Sammy Chadwick.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Garland of Kirksey, Kentucky and Sandra Garland (Melissa Dillon) of Paducah, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Chris Garland of Almo, Kentucky and Aron Garland (Holly) of Murray, Kentucky; as well as two great grandchildren, Hunter and Addison Garland both of Murray, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. 

In lieu of flowers and because of Jane’s love for animals, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Murray-Calloway County Animal Shelter, 81 Shelter Lane, Murray, Kentucky 42071.
