Naomi Broach Rogers, 89, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Carillon Assisted Living, Clemmons, NC.
She joins her husband, James, of 56 years, her parents Lela and Wesley Broach and her sisters Elizabeth Paschall, Dorothy Enoch and Covela Hale in their Heavenly Home.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, WMU officer, and was part of the Phoebian Sunday School class. She was a member of and held various offices in the Murray Woman's Club. She retired from the Cashier's Office, Murray State University, in 1983 after 36 years.
She has two daughters and sons-in-law: Gayle and David Butler, Boston, MA and Kathy and Bill Wilson, Clemmons, NC. She is "That Mommy" to 6 grandchildren: David Allen Butler (Jennifer), Lebanon, KY; Amy Butler Summers (Joseph), Huntsville, AL; Jonathan Butler (Ashley), Louisville, KY; Jennifer Wilson Becker (Christian), NY, NY; Brent Wilson (Sarah), Charlottesville, VA; Ryan Wilson (Mia), Atlanta, GA, and 17 great-grandchildren.
She leaves a beautiful and living legacy in the lives of those who knew her best and loved her most.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Murray. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
