Nellie "Nell" Denton

Mrs. Nellie "Nell" Denton, age 97, of Murray, Kentucky, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Denton was born November 24, 1919 in Romulus, Michigan to the late John Perkins and Bessie Collyer Perkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard C. Denton; also, four sisters, and two brothers.
Mrs. Denton was a retired L.P.N., having worked at the Murray Calloway County Hospital, Tappan Manufacturing, office nurse for the late Dr. Donald Hughes, and Westview nursing home. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Murray, and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Twila Lovett and husband Cecil of Murray, Kentucky; grandson, Jason Lovett of Murray, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Kendrick Lewis and Rev. Jim Stahler will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 5-8 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
