Mrs. Olive Flood, age 98, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Flood was born in Trigg County Kentucky on May 15, 1916 to the late Phil Futrell and Lillie (Jones) Futrell. Mrs. Flood before retiring worked in the housekeeping department at the Kenlake Hotel. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Flood was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Flood; three sons, William Flood, Johnny Flood and Ronnie Flood; one granddaughter, Marcella Wilson; one sister; as well as five brothers.
Mrs. Flood is survived by one daughter, Darlene Davis of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Eugene Flood and wife Mozell of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Laura Morrison of Murray, Kentucky; two daughter-in-laws, Mary Flood of Cadiz, Kentucky and Sandy Flood of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Mike Davis, Donna Carter and husband Alan, Amanda Waldrop and husband David, Mark Flood and wife Gena and Lori Sheppard and husband Tony all of Murray, Kentucky; four step grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. James Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in L.B.L. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the funeral home.
