Mrs. Ora Faith "Bobbie" Buchanan, age 91, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 08, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Aurora, Kentucky on January 15, 1924 to the late Fred and Grace Wilkerson Jones. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband James Buchanan; sisters, Hilda Jones, Anna Laura Cooper, Marian Sparks and Sammie Lane Ball; brothers, Roger Jones, Gary Morris Jones and Ivan Jones.
She is survived by two daughters, Becky Johnson and husband Gary of Murray, Kentucky and Jane Buchanan of Louisville, Kentucky; one son, James Buchanan Jr and wife Tracey of Pawley's Island, South Carolina; one brother, Russel Jones and wife Jean of Daleville, Alabama; two sisters-in-laws, Edna Earl Jones of Benton, Kentucky and Virginia Buchanan of Murray, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, John Buchanan, Craig Buchanan, Alex Buchanan, Cameron Buchanan, Mathew Johnson, David Badger and wife Meagan and Ann Badger and significant other Bill Lease; three great grandchildren, Gabriel Johnson, Isla Johnson and Wyatt Badger, several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Murray Calloway County Hospital Hospice for their loving care and support.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Private funeral rites will be held.
