Oretha Mae Gammon

Mrs. Oretha Mae Gammon, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky died on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Gammon was born in Murray, Kentucky on May 5, 1937. Mrs. Gammon retired from Fischer Price/ Mattel and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Gammon was preceded in death by her parents, Plomer Witty and Rupert and Opal Phillips; two sisters, Maxine Milke and Mary Lou Doran; as well as one brother, Ronald Phillips.
Mrs. Gammon is survived by her husband, John Gammon of Murray, to whom she married on November 4, 1977 in Murray; three daughters, Krista Crass and husband Gary of Murray, Lesa Sims and husband Rusty of Murray and Paula Outland and husband Jesse of, Rockmart Georgia; two sons, Rick Maupin of Tampa, Florida and John H. Gammon of Greensboro, North Carolina; two brothers, Tommy Phillips and Joe Pat Phillips both of Fulton ,Kentucky; five grandchildren, Gary F. Crass, Samantha Hightower, Catherine Crass, Sarah Stanley and J.J. Outland.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Pastor Ruth Ragovin and Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
