Othel "Sonny" Tucker

Mr. Othel "Sonny" Tucker, age 78, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Tucker was born in Calloway County on January 13, 1939 to the late Freed Tucker and Christine Tidwell Tucker. He was a retired painter, farmer and formerly worked at Tappan. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Algie Tidwell, Othel and Myrtle Tucker; one brother, Junior Tucker; one niece Tammy Irene Tucker Goddard; one nephew, Brent Tucker.

Survivors include his wife, Paula, to whom he married in 2002 in Calloway County; one daughter, Christine Smith and husband Hiram of Russell Springs, Kentucky; one son, Travis Tucker and wife Kandace of Murray, Kentucky; three sisters, Nancy Nimmo and husband Arvis of Benton, Kentucky, Debbie Skinner and husband Michael of Murray, Kentucky and Judy Feckley of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Stanley Tucker and wife Dorothy of Murray, Kentucky and Joe Tucker of Murray, Kentucky; one grandchild, Madelyn Grace "Sweetie Pie" Tucker of Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Brett Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucker Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
