Owen Anderson

Mr. Owen A. Anderson, age 68, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, August 06, 2014 at his home.

He was retired but was a former employee of Mattel and Briggs & Stratton both in Murray. He was a member of the Blood River Baptist Church and a member of the Temple Hill Masonic Lodge F&AM 276.

Mr. Anderson was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on July 17, 1946 to the late Willie and Lorene Eldridge Anderson. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one brother, Otis Anderson; one infant sister, Delois Anderson.

He is survived by his wife Linda Anderson of Murray, Kentucky; they were married in August of 1976 in Benton, Kentucky. In addition to his wife he is also survived by three sons, Nathan Anderson of Murray, Kentucky, Kyle Anderson of Mayfield, Kentucky and Mark Anderson of Murray, Kentucky; one sister Edna Perry and husband Jim of New Concord, Kentucky; two brothers, Harold Anderson of Murray, Kentucky, Max Anderson and wife Barbara of Mayfield, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Debby Kirks of Murray, Kentucky also survives.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Hal Barrow and Bro. Max Anderson will officiate with burial to follow in the New Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 on Friday, August 8, 2014.
