Ms. Pamela Vaneen (Mahan) Young, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Ms. Young was born on July 22, 1942, in Murray, Kentucky to the late John R. “J.R.” Mahan and Dot (Stephens) Mahan. She retired from Penwalt Chemical in Calvert City, Kentucky, worked at Murray-Calloway County Hospital, Country Crossroads in Hardin, Kentucky, and volunteered at Glendale Road Church of Christ where she was a member. Her hobbies included traveling to the mountains, playing cards, but her greatest joy was time spent with her great granddaughters, Alaina and Evie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Young; grandson, Zachary Young; as well as one brother, James Mahan.
Survivors include her brother, John Mahan and wife Vickie; sister-in-law, Joanne Mahan; granddaughter, Michelle (Young) Ramsey; two great granddaughters, Alaina and Evie Ramsey; several nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, Barry and Janet Futrell.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House for their wonderful care.
