Patsy Gean Bell

 Mrs. Patsy Gean Bell age 87 of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky

            She was born May 11, 1936, in Martin, Tennessee to the late Uri D. Smith and the late Relma Tansil.

            In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by one daughter, Jill Bell Hall.

             Patsy was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Canton, Georgia.  She retired as the church secretary for the First Baptist Church in Valparaiso, Indiana. 

            She is survived by her husband, Marvin Ray Bell of Murray, Kentucky; they were married in Martin, Tennessee on December 11, 1954.  Also survived by one son, Keith Bell and wife Jill Falwell Bell of Benton, Kentucky; son-in-law, Tom Hall of Canton, Georgia; one grandchild, Michael K. Bell and wife Emily Deaux Bell of Sandy, Utah; three great grandchildren, Callie Bell, Palmer Bell and Eli Bell.

            Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.  Rev. Mike Hartwig will officiate with burial to follow in the Collier Cemetery in Martin, Tennessee.  Visitation will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. till funeral hour Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
