Dr. Paul G. Randolph, age 89 of Murray, Kentucky died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
Dr. Randolph was born in Henderson, Tennessee on October 10, 1927 to the late Paul D. Randolph and Clara Titsworth Randolph. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a PhD, he was also professor emeritus of history at Pepperdine University and a former member and elder at the University Church of Christ. Dr. Randolph was an Army veteran, a member of the CASA board, and a former chairman of the Calloway County Democratic Party. Before his teaching career, Dr. Randolph was a minister for several Churches of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Randolph of Murray, Kentucky, they married June 8, 1952 in Huntsville, Alabama; one daughter, Lisa R. Kindall of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Kevin Randolph and wife Sandy of Atlanta, Georgia and Mark Randolph and wife Becky of Ann Arbor, Michigan; one brother, Lewis Randolph and wife Sue of Waco, Texas; as well as six grandchildren, Ryan Randolph of Atlanta, Georgia, Emma Kindall of Columbus, Ohio, Kathryn Randolph of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sam and Julie Kindall of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Caroline Randolph of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Charlie Bazzell and Richard Youngblood will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
