Mr. Paul M. Rushing

Mr. Paul Rushing, age 71, of Murray, Ky, passed away peacefully on Nov 27, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House. He died surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. 

Mr. Rushing was a lifelong resident of Calloway County. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, NASCAR fan, and Kentucky basketball supporter. He was a retired entrepreneur (auto dealer) and enjoyed farming and raising cattle. 

A devoted husband, dad, and Papa, he is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Farris Rushing; his adoring daughter, Shawna Munger (Blake) of Murray, Ky; his beloved grandchildren, Beckett and Baylor Munger. Survivors additionally include his mother, Jackie Rushing of Murray, Ky; brothers, Charles Rushing (Teresa) of Murray, Ky and Stan Rushing (Sheila) of Dallas, Tx; brother-in-law, Mike Farris (Lisa); and sister-in-law, Missy Champine (Steve), both from Jackson, Tn. 

He also will be missed by his three nieces, six nephews, six great-nephews, and one great-niece.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Rushing’s son-in-law, Blake Munger; grandson, Beckett; his nephews Chase Rushing, Matthew Farris, and Brad, Bryan, and Cooper Champine; and his nephew-in-law, Graham Salonus.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the funeral to follow at noon. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.
