Paul E. Scott

Mr. Paul E. Scott, age 84 of Murray, Kentucky died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Scott was born July 14, 1931 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late James Burley Scott and Maud Dyer Scott. He was retired from the Murray Division of Tappan and Southern States. Mr. Scott was also a member of the Cherry Corner Baptist Church. He was also a Navy veteran.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Wilson Scott, brother James Burly Scott, Jr., sister, Martha Sue West.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jessie Futrell Scott of Murray, Kentucky; they married March 24, 1989 in Murray Kentucky. One daughter, Laura Ann Stock, Highland, Illinois, two sons, Richard Scott and wife Brenda of Murray, Kentucky and Bryan Scott and wife Kim of Dexter, Kentucky, step son Danny Pritchett and wife Margie of Dexter, Kentucky. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2.p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. at the J.H Churchill Funeral Home.
