Ms. Peggy Mae Atkins, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Monday, October 28, 2019, at her home.
Ms. Atkins was born in Trigg County, Kentucky on February 28, 1938, to the late Bill Crawford and Bessie Mae Watkins Higgins. She was a retired janitor with the Henry County School System and was of the Methodist faith. Ms. Atkins was also an avid horsewoman.
Survivors include one daughter, Leslie Hayes and husband Brad of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one son, Bill Speed and wife Jennifer of Hazel, Kentucky; one sister, Joan Crawford of Kevil, Kentucky; two grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as special friends, Melissa Carson and Sue Farthing.
No public services will be held. There will be no public visitation.
