Peggy W. Carraway

Mrs. Peggy Carraway, age 75, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

Mrs. Carraway was born in Murray, Kentucky to the late John L. Williams and Abbie Lee (Tabers) Williams. Mrs. Carraway previously worked as a funeral director for the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and was the co-owner of Williams Radiator and Glass before retiring. She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carraway was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Carraway, whom she married on June 24, 1961 in Murray, Kentucky. Mr. Carraway died on August 31, 2018. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Jones and Janice Williams.

Mrs. Carraway is survived by one daughter, Karen Linn Carraway of Brentwood, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Shubert of Fairview, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Dennis L. Jones, Sr. of Murray, Kentucky; nephew, Dennis L. Jones, Jr. of Murray, Kentucky; and niece, Johna Jones of Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
