Peggy Hook

Mrs. Peggy Hook, age 92, of Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee.

          Mrs. Hook was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 4, 1931.   Mrs. Hook worked as an office assistant for Optometrists Dr. Denham and Dr. Ryan before retiring and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.

           Mrs. Hook was preceded in death by her father, Nick Utley, mother, Ida Mae Crowe Dennis; stepfather, Earl Samuel Dennis; husband, B.B. Hook, Jr.; one brother, Donald Utley; and a stepsister, Dorothy Dennis Reese.

          Mrs. Hook is survived by her three daughters, Dixie Rayburn and husband John of Franklin, Tennessee, Denise Burt and husband Gary of Franklin, Tennessee, and Dinah Coomes and husband Randy of Panama City Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren, Kelly Dougherty, Whitney Lasseter (Taylor), Blake Rayburn, Derek Seltzer, Heidi Norman (Jay), Chad Coomes (Katie), and Chandler Coomes (Luke Bobst, fiancee); as well  as 11 great grandchildren, Connor, Will, and Drew Dougherty, Molly, Mason, and Max Lasseter, Waylon and Dean Rayburn, and Jack, Sam, and Charlie Norman.

          A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bro. Brett Miles and John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
