Ray Anthony Powell

Mr. Ray Anthony Powell, age 55, of Murray, Kentucky died on Friday, January 19, 2018 at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Powell was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 15, 1962.

Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ann (Duncan) Powell McKendree; his father, Billy Ray Powell; step father, Hurshel McKendree; brother, Jeff McKendree; as well as uncles, Eugene Duncan and Wayne Duncan.

Mr. Powell is survived by his step mother, Emmaline Powell of Paris, Tennessee; two sisters, Janet Cox of Benton, Kentucky and Rebecca Flood and husband Jonathan of Buchanan, Tennessee; one brother, Greg McKendree of Hardin, Kentucky; aunts, Wanda Canup and husband Jimmy Morris of Murray, Kentucky, Mary Linn and husband Charlie McKenney of Murray, Kentucky Tina Watson and husband Michael of Murray ,Kentucky and Janice Duncan of Murray, Kentucky; uncle, Ralph Duncan and wife Pam of Almo, Kentucky; special friend, Josephine Thorn of Dexter, Kentucky; as well as several nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Bazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
