Mr. Ray Junior Story, age 79, of Benton, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died, Friday, February 01, 2013 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Born May 3, 1933 in Summer Co., Tn., to the late Ray and Cora Maybelle Kemp Story. He was retired from the Murray Division of Tappan, and also retired from the Murray Country Club. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger Doughty of Murray, Denecia Gandy of Atlanta, Ga., step daughter, Sheila Vacca and husband Gary of Murray, son, Cary Story of Louisville, Ky., five sisters, Ruth Beach, Ruby Williams, Betty Jean Sykes, Dorothy Manning and husband Paul, and Barbara Parker all of Murray, Ky., two brothers, Ira Lee Story and wife Bonnie of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Kenneth Story of Murray, also five grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.
He was preceded by his parents, and two brothers, Hugh and Hoyt Story.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Gary Vacca will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 12-2 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
