Ray Waggoner

Dr. Ray Nelson Waggoner, 86 of Murray, Ky., died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 3:05 a.m. at the Spring Creek Health in Murray, Ky.
He was a retired Professor of Education from Northern Kentucky University, was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray, Ky. And was in the Adult Christian Sunday school class. He had also volunteered at the Boy Scouts Museum, and was a member of the Chamber of commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Lee Farris Waggoner of Murray, Ky., son, Duncan Nelson Waggoner (Nancy) of Florence, Ky., also two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertie Wooten Waggoner, sisters, Nelle McCuiston, and Mary Lou Lassiter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Bro. Jim Stahler and John Dale will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
