Raymond Frank Hubble, 91, of Murray, Kentucky passed, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray.
He was born on August 27, 1921 in Trenton, Tennessee to the late Velma and Eldon R. Hubble. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray, Kentucky.
He was a Staff Sgt. Of the Co. C, 16th A.I. Bn., and served with the 13th Armored Division in the Battle of the Ruhr Pocket and in the drive through Bavaria into Austria. He was awarded the good conduct medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Medal, Eastern Campaign Medal, and Combat Infantry Badge. He served the army from 1942 to 1945 with honor to his God and Country.
He was married to the late Pauline Scruggs of Trenton, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Oklean Blankenship and Virginia Smith, three brothers, Russell Hubble, Milton Hubble, and Toy Hubble and one grandson, James H. Stahler, IV.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Stahler, and son-in-law, Jim Stahler of Murray, Kentucky; two grandsons, Jimmy Ray Stahler and wife Melissa of Owensboro, Kentucky and Jayson Daniel Stahler and wife Kristi of Murray, Kentucky. He had three great-grandchildren, Camryn Stahler of Owensboro, Kentucky and Daniel Reid and Ethan James Stahler of Murray , Kentucky .
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Saywell and Rev. Jim Stahler officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 10:00a.m. until funeral hour (11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.
