Reba Alice Herndon

Mrs. Reba Herndon age 98, of Murray, Ky., died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Ky.
Mrs. Herndon was born December 23, 1914, in Calloway Co. to the late Cass and Betty Smith Colson. She was retired from the Kenlake Hotel as a kitchen worker after 17 years of service; she was also a member of the Almo Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughter, Wanda Bailey and husband Green of Murray, Ky., two step daughters, Glenda Alley of Phoenix, Az., Patsy Brown and husband Dwane of Murray, one son, Wade Herndon and wife Kathy of Murray, one step son, Dwain Herndon and wife Yvonne of Stone Mountain, Ga., five grandchildren, Greg Bailey of Long Island, N.Y., Gwen Pruitt of Paducah, Ky., Gail Harris of Murray, Missy Patrick of Murray, and Jeremy Herndon of Murray., eight step grandchildren also survive, six great grandchildren, Christine Bailey, Stephanie Bailey, Kayden Patrick, Derek Herndon, Ashlynn Suiter, and Rhonda Anderson, also fourteen step great grandchildren survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Oscar Folwell, second husband Lee Herndon, five brothers, seven sisters, two daughters, infant Rebecca Herndon, Ruth Offutt, grandson, Don Hodges, granddaughter, Pam Butler, and great granddaughter, Avery Patrick.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale and Richard Youngblood will officiate and burial will follow in the Friendship Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 5-9 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
