Rebecca West

Mrs. Rebecca Robertson West, age 93, of Murray, Ky., died Friday, April 25, 2014, at her daughter's home in Nashville, TN.
Born February 22, 1921 in Murray, KY to the late Luther and Etna Huie Robertson. Mrs. West worked at the Murray Wholesale Grocery, and retired from Murray State University Home Economics Department. She was the longest living member of the First United Methodist church. She was also a 1937 graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Library Science. She was also in the first pledge class of Tri Sigma.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Haron Boyd West.
Survivors include her daughter Becky West of Nashville Tn., son, Steve West and wife Gail of Huntingdon, TN., four grandchildren, Mark West and wife Holly of West Point New York, Jason West and wife Anna of Nashville Tn., NiCole Tippitt and husband Zach of McKenzie TN. And Stevie MiRanda Stout and husband Logan of Murray, KY., also five great – grandchildren, Keegan, Lexi, Kyle, Daisy West, all of West Point, New York and Haron James Stout of Murray.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Murray City Cemetery, Rev. Rick Dye will officiate, and burial will follow. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 11 am to 1 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
