Richard Latimer

Mr. Richard G. (Daddy Richard) Latimer, 78, of Murray, Ky., died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tn. Mr. Latimer was born in Puryear, TN on Feb. 27, 1932 to the late John Latimer and LaRue Moore Latimer. Mr. Latimer was a retired car dealer and a member of the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Latimer was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Warren Latimer, three brothers, Wilmore, Ray, and Joe Latimer, and a grandson, Warren Latimer.
Mr. Latimer is survived by one daughter, Shelia Dever and husband Ross of Owensboro, KY, one son, Ricky Latimer of Murray, one sister, Julia Hall of Birmingham, Alabama, two brothers, James Ed Latimer and wife Donna of Troy, Michigan and Ralph Latimer and wife Barbara of Hazel ,KY, four grandchildren, Shauna Dever and Derek Dever both of Owensboro, KY, Cody Latimer and wife Gretchen of Lexington, KY and Lacey Latimer of Murray, KY, also surviving are three great grandchildren, Ellie Faye Dever and Collin Richard Dever of Owensboro, KY and Rylee Richard Latimer of Lexington, Ky.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with the Rev. Glynn Orr officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
