Richard Rutledge

Mr. Richard G. Rutledge, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, died, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Belmont Nursing Home in Allen, Texas.

Mr. Rutledge was born in Posey County, Indiana on January 10, 1933 to the late Jesse J. Rutledge and Eloise Amick Rutledge. Mr. Rutledge retired as the comptroller from Ryan Milk Company in Murray, now Morningstar Foods, Inc. He was an Army veteran and was of Lutheran faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rutledge was preceded in death by one brother, John Rutledge.

Mr. Rutledge is survived by his wife, Rebecca Rutledge of Murray; two daughters, Susan Baumert and husband Craig of Texas and Deborah Mennuti and husband Jonathan of Virginia; one son, David Rutledge and wife Michong of Korea; two brothers, Jim Rutledge and wife Erma of Indiana and Jerry Rutledge and wife Susan of Indiana; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Rutledge, Austin Baumert, and Jake Baumert; as well as one sister in law, Rosie Rutledge of Florida; and two brother in law's, John Jake and wife Sondra of Texas and Thomas Jake and wife Pauline of Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Jason Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
