Richard A. Scott

          Mr. Richard A. Scott, age 67, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

            Mr. Scott was born on September 18, 1956, in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Paul Eugene Scott and Patricia Ann (Wilson) Scott. He retired from General Tire and later from MFL (formerly FLW Outdoors). He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. 

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Scott. 

            Survivors include one daughter, Heather Patterson and husband Bobby of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two sons, Troy McClure and Paul Scott and wife Heather all of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Laura Stock of Highland, Illinois; one brother, Bryan Scott and wife Kim of Dexter, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Zenley McClure, Ethan Scott, and Alyssa Verner. 

            A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Murray City Cemetery with Jared Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
