Rickey Latimer

Mr. Rickey Latimer, age 68, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the Murray -Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Latimer was born in Murray, Kentucky on January 6, 1954, to the late Richard Latimer and Barbara (Warren) Latimer. Mr. Latimer retired from the Murray Police Department after more than 20 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Latimer was preceded in death by one son, Richard Warren Latimer, Jr.

Mr. Latimer is survived by one daughter, Lacey Latimer and wife Chelsea of Murray; one son, Cody Lee Latimer and wife Gretchen of Lexington, Kentucky; special friend, Karen Hunter of Murray; one sister, Sheila Dever and husband Ross of Murray; as well as two grandchildren, Rylee Richard Latimer and Oliver Emmett Latimer both of Lexington, Kentucky; niece, Shauna Dever Jones and nephew, Derek Dever of Owensboro, Kentucky. He will be missed by his dog, Choctaw as well.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
