Ricky Starks

              Mr. Ricky Starks, age 65, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

            Mr. Starks was born on June 13, 1958, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Courtney and Mary Roselle Overcast Starks. He was a retired police officer having served with the Calloway County Sheriffs Office and the Murray Police Department. He was also a retired sergeant with the United States Marine Corps and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and the F.O.P.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Starks and Bill Starks.

            Survivors include his wife, Lisa Suiter Starks of Murray, Kentucky, they married on February 14, 1984, in Calloway County; daughter, Ashley Doolin and husband Tony of Macon, Georgia; son, Courtney Starks and wife Lydia of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Mary Kathryn Starks of Murray and Teresa Williams and husband Roy of Murray; brother, Gary Starks of Murray; eight grandchildren, Ethan, Avery and Brooklyn Starks all of Murray, Hannah and Emma Green both of Benton, Kentucky, Madeline and Meghan Doolin both of Lexington, Kentucky and Morgan Doolin of Louisville, Kentucky.

            A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Bro. Brett Miles will officiate, and a burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, January 1, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
