Ricky Dean Watson, Jr., 34, left this earth to be with the Lord, on Thursday, May 27th at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY with family at his side.
He was born April 7, 1987, in Murray, KY. He was a graduate of Murray High.
Throughout his life he had a passion for basketball, baseball, and any animal that crossed his path. He was an avid lover of horses and spent many years participating and competing in several equine sports including barrel racing & 4H. He loved music of any genre and always had hopes to master playing the guitar. Ricky was also a big Kentucky Wildcats fan!
He was in a tragic car accident at a young age and suffered many health conditions following this, but never let that stop him. He was a strong and determined young man. If there were a chance to volunteer or help someone else in need, he was your go to guy.
He is survived by his loving family; mother, Kelly Nicholas and husband Jim of Columbia, TN, his father Ricky Watson, Sr. of Bowling Green, KY, his sisters, Samantha Smith and husband Brandon of Tiline, KY, & Sarah Nicholas of Philadelphia, PA, Grandmother, Jane Nicholas of Columbia, TN, Grandmother, Bonnie Watson of Bowling Green, KY, two nieces Kaydence Smith & Everleigh Smith, along with several aunts/uncles, and cousins.
Ricky is preceded in death by his Grandparents- Delbert & Linda Newsome, Grandfather- Nick Nicholas, and Great Grandparents- Samuel Brooks & Thilda Watson.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Jones will officiate, and burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
