Rita Victoria Huddleston

Mrs. Rita Victoria Huddleston, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky died on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Lake Way Nursing Home in Benton, Kentucky.

Mrs. Huddleston was born in South Haven, Michigan on January 9, 1933 to the late Alge Olson and Edith (Nelson) Olson. Before retiring, Mrs. Huddleston worked as an administrative secretary at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray, volunteered at the Murray Calloway County Hospital for 10 years and taught piano lessons for many years.

Mrs. Huddleston is survived by her husband, Richard Huddleston of Murray, Kentucky, to whom she married on May 16, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois; one daughter, Laura L. Brandenburg and husband Steven of Edwardsville, Illinois; as well as three grandchildren, Daniel S. Brandenburg, Matthew W. Brandenburg and John M. Brandenburg.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stahler officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until service hour at the funeral home.
