Rita Sharon Smith

Ms. Rita Sharon Smith, age 59, of Kirksey, KY, passed away, Friday, November 19, 2010, at 10:20 a.m. at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Ms. Smith was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 6, 1951. Ms. Smith retired with A.T. & T. Phone Company in Baton Rouge, LA. She was of Church of Christ faith.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Clayton Smith.
Ms. Smith is survived by her mother, Lois Smith of Kirksey, KY, former step daughter, Lynn Paschall and husband Darren of Murray, KY, one sister, Sonja Howard and husband Roger of Benton, KY, four brothers, Danny Smith and wife Kathy and Mark Smith and wife Marisa all of Benton, KY, Jack Smith and wife Karen and Jody M. Smith all of Kirksey, KY.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at The J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Don Wilson and Rev. Brett Miles officiating. Burial to follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
