Mrs. Robbie Cruse (Chaney) Fisher, age 100, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Passion and Purpose HomeCare Assisted Living in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Fisher was born on May 31, 1925, in Columbus, Kentucky, to the late Cruse Chaney and Robbie Eual (Mays) Chaney. She was a retired teachers aid and was of the Church of Christ Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Gerald Fisher; one son, Donald Cruse Fisher; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Fisher; one sister, Corinee “Tootsie” Virgina Dewesse; two brothers, James Chaney and Johnny Chaney; two sisters-in-law, Sue Chaney and Patricia Chaney; one brother-in-law, Hilrey Dewesse; as well as one half-sister, Dorothy Brown.
Survivors include one daughter, Treva Jean Doores and husband Randy of Nashville, Tennessee; two sons, Monte Alan Fisher of Murray, Kentucky and Alvin Joel Fisher and wife Susan of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Thomas Ray Chaney and wife Marie of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Candice Kathleen Moore and husband Justin of Searcy, Arkansas, Donald Chase Fisher and wife Julie of Brentwood, Tennessee, Channing Brooke Phillips and husband Chris of Nashville, Tennessee, John Lee Fisher and wife Heather of Paducah, Kentucky, Ellie Shea Royal and husband Joshua of Carmel, New York, Cody Thomas Doores and wife Leighton of Birmingham, Alabama, and Nicholas Fisher Doores and wife Abigail of Nashville, Tennessee; as well as 11 great-grandchildren, Marissa Jae Moore and Landon Cole Moore both of Searcy, Arkansas, Novi Cruse Fisher and Nash Cruse Fisher both of Brentwood, Tennessee, Margo Winnie Phillips of Nashville, Tennessee, John Lee Fisher II of Paducah, Kentucky, Brighton Elizabeth Royal and Joshua Fisher Royal both of Carmel, New York, Karow Elisabeth Doores and Ellis Kennington Doores both of Birmingham, Alabama, and Raya Lynn Doores of Nashville, Tennessee.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale and son-in-law, Randy Doores officiating. Burial will follow at the Elsey Cemetery in Bardwell, Kentucky at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
