Mr. Robert A. "Bob" Baldwin, age 73, of New Concord, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2015.
Mr. Baldwin was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 27, 1942 to the late Mervin "Mike" Baldwin and Blanch (Smith) Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin a retired self-employed construction worker. He was a United States Marine Corp Master Sergeant veteran, while serving eleven years during the Vietnam Era. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of the DAV, VFW and the AMVETS. He was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to his parents Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by one grandson, Cameron Jones and a brother-in-law, Ferd Vogt.
Mr. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Betty (Davidson) Baldwin of New Concord, Kentucky, to whom he married on February 14, 1969 in Belville, Illinois; one daughter, Rachelle Jones and husband Allen of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Ronnie Baldwin of New Concord, Kentucky; two sisters, Faith "Jackie" Vogt of Edwardsville, Illinois and Annette Thompson and husband Joe of Troy, Illinois; five grandchildren, Robbie Jones, Kim Jones, Tyler Jones, Matthew Jones and Kaylie Baldwin; as well as two brothers-in-law, Jerry Davidson of Murray, Kentucky and Ronnie Davidson of Granite City, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
