Mr. Robert S. Gholson, age 72, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the St. Thomas – Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Gholson was born in Dixon, Illinois on October 13, 1943 to the late A.M. Gholson and Mary Ellen (Terry) Gholson. Mr. Gholson retired from Northwestern Wire and Steel in Sterling, Illinois. He was a Marine Corp. veteran of the Vietnam War and was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Gholson is survived by his wife, Deanna (Cooper) Gholson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two daughters, Shauna Sharp and husband Ronnie of Maryville, Tennessee and Kristi Wolfe and husband Paul of Sterling, Illinois; one sister, Judy Hill of Whittier, California; one brother, Terry Gholson of Sterling, Illinois; nine grandchildren; as well as three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
