Robert "Bob" Morris

Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Morris, III, 72, of Memphis, Tennessee died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Morris was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 23, 1941 to the late Robert L. Morris, Jr. and Myrtle A. Todd Morris. He retired as an engineer after 35 years of service with the Industry General Corporation (IGC) in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Morris was a graduate from the Puryear High School and from Tennessee State Technical College in Memphis. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife Barbara Jean Cloys Morris of Memphis, to whom he married on December 12, 1959; one daughter, Tina Morris Maddox and husband Kenneth of Memphis; one brother, James H. "Jim" Morris and wife Judy of Puryear, Tennessee; four sisters, Vicky Geurin and husband Jimmy of Murray, Betty Gallimore and husband David of Puryear, Tennessee, Jean Blankenship and husband James of Puryear, Tennessee and Ann Brooks of Murray; two grandchildren, Erika Morris and Kyle Morris both of Memphis; and one great grandchild, Abby Morris of Memphis; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Kennith Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
