Robert William Starks

Mr. Robert Starks, age 77, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, formerly of Hazel, Kentucky, died Monday, April 02, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Mr. Starks was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 1, 1940 to the late Bob Starks and Marguerite (Hess) Starks. Mr. Starks was a retired Philadelphia detective and was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to his parents Mr. Starks was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine (Jones) Starks; step-mother, Elgiva Massie Starks; son, Michael Jenkins; two grandsons, Lou Fulkerson and Jonathan Jenkins; and by one brother, John Starks, Sr.
Mr. Starks is survived by one daughter, Sherri Guyette and husband Gary of Knoxville, Tennessee; one son, James "Jay" Jenkins of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Jane Houghton and Edith Kaminski both of Almo, Kentucky; one brother, George Starks of Cadiz, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Steven Jenkins, James Jenkins, Jr., Lauren Jenkins, Chelsea Jenkins, Zachary Guyette, Shaun Guyette and Melanie Guyette; two great grandchildren; and special friend, Georgia Lockhart and her family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Almo Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until funeral hour at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
