Robert "Bob" Wallace

Mr. Robert "Bob" Wallace age 60, of Murray, KY, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 29, 2012 at his home surrounded by family.
Mr. Wallace was born on October 26, 1951 in Mayfield, KY while being raised in Milburn, KY. Mr. Wallace was a long time employee of Mattel Inc. in Murray until the company left the area. He then established and was owner and operator of Dependable Lawn Care. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Westside Baptist Church, there he was an ordained Deacon and was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the ATFA (American Treeing Feist Association); an avid sportsman with a lifelong desire to hunt and fish, and had been awarded numerous accomplishments. A man of God whose story telling abilities and the desire to make others smile will be remembered by his family and friends, and be truly missed by all.
Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his father, Herman Wallace, Jr.; step father, Jim Farrow; and a nephew Shane Wallace.
Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice Marie Hoffman Wallace, to whom he married on June 9, 1973 in Joliet, Illinois; mother, Mertie Wallace Farrow of Murray; daughter, Stephanie Wallace Dodd and husband Quinten of Murray; son, Justin "Hunter" Wallace and wife Julie of Murray; brother and best friend Gary Wallace and wife Vicki of Murray; four grandchildren, Dustin Dodd and wife Meagan, Hannah Dodd, Ella Dodd and Jaxon Wallace all of Murray; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Glynn Orr and Bro. Bruce Hodge officiating. Burial to follow in the Wallace Ridge Cemetery in New Concord, KY. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
