Mrs. Roberta Whitley, 83 of Murray, Ky., formerly of Petersburg, Il., died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her daughters home.
She was born Feb. 25, 1928 in Petersburg, Il. She had retired as a medical office manager in northern, Il.
She is survived by her daughter, Karla Johnston (Timothy) of Murray, Ky., son Chris Whitley (Sherry) of Petersburg, Il., three brothers, Roger Backs of Decatur, Il., Terry Backs of Bedford, Tx., and Thomas Backs of Petersburg, Il., also three grandchildren.
Mrs. Whitley was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Whitley, parents, Robert and Lela Backs, and two brothers, Dale and Kent Backs.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time; J.H. Churchill Funeral Home is in charge.
