Ronald Dale England

Mr. Ronald D. England, age 71, of Murray, Kentucky died at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2015 after an extended illness.

Ronnie was born March 23, 1944, in Carlisle County, Kentucky, to the late Roy James and Gracie Snow England. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elwanda Sullivan, two brothers, Lindy and Doug England.

Ronnie was a retired First sergeant, with the United States Army with 27 years of service, he served one term in Guantanamo Bay. He was a member of the Coles Campground United Methodist Church. He also received a B.A. from Murray State University.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie England, of Mayfield, Kentucky; three sons, Scott England and wife Valerie of Murray, Kevin England and wife Melissa of Mayfield, Kentucky, Corey England and wife Tanna of Paducah, Kentucky; three sisters, Carol Gibson and husband Bobby of Central City, Kentucky, Gail Poole and husband Rob of Murray, and Suzie England of Murray; one brother, Larry England and wife JoBeth of Murray; eight grandchildren, Hannah England, Anthony Carraway, Matthew Fondaw, Josie England, Carson and Carlie England, Ashley and Amber Zimmerman; one great grandchild, John Carter Carraway; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Steven Howe will officiate, and burial will follow in the Coles Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 5-9 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
