Rose Ann Cook

Mrs. Rose Ann Cook, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at her home.

 Mrs. Cook was born on April 24, 1943, in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Samuel Sheely and Rosa Lee Carter Sheely. Rose was a former volunteer at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and retired after 25 years from Dillard’s as a Department Head. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook; one son, Jeffery Burrington; and by one sister, Diane Loy. 

 Survivors included one daughter, Lisa Renee Armstrong and husband Ron of Mesa, Arizona; one sister, Rita L. Henley and husband Melvin of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Ryan Armstrong of London, United Kingdom, Shane Chriss of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Taylor Burrington and wife Kat of Nashville, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Rio and Kya Burrington of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, including locally Matt Boardman and wife Stacy who were helpful and loving caregivers. As well as friends, Catherine Hart, Steve Reed and Richard Reed. 

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
