Mr. Roy L. Clark, age 78, of the Coldwater community of Murray, Kentucky, died, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 8:20 a.m. at the Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Clark was born in Dexter, Kentucky on August 25, 1933 to the late Archie Clark and Helen Duncan Clark. Mr. Clark retired from General Tire after 28 years of service, while working in the maintenance department. Mr. Clark was a member of the West Fork Baptist Church and a member of the Medium Adult Sunday School Class; a Kentucky Colonel, an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Woodman of the World Lodge # 592. Mr. Clark served as the past Master with the Farmington Masonic Lodge # 382, a past Worthy Patron with the Murray Order of Eastern Star # 445 and past Eastern Star District Deputy with the State of Kentucky.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife Dollie "Dot" Baker Clark of the Coldwater community, to whom he married in 1956; one daughter, Trisha Clark Cunningham and husband Greg of Fairview, Texas; one son, Terry Lynn Clark and wife Kristin Simmons Clark of Oakton, Virginia; two brothers, George R. Clark and wife Jenny of Dexter, Kentucky and Marion D. Clark and wife Gerri of Mission, Texas; five grandchildren, Chris Cunningham, Carrie Cunningham, Katie Clark, Tommy Clark and Annie Clark; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro.Richard Edmiston and Bro. Matthew Williams officiating. Burial to follow in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
