Roy Albert Weatherly

Mr. Roy Albert Weatherly Jr., age 77, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

He was born on August 25, 1938 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Roy A. Weatherly Sr. and Katie Lucile Irvan Weatherly. Mr. Weatherly was a 1960 graduate of Murray State University with a Master's Degree. Mr. Weatherly was a retired Teacher and Administrator for the Murray Independent School District. He was also of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Louise Jones Weatherly; as well as three sisters, Kay Ray, Mary Frances Richardson, and Ginni Hopkins.

He is survived by one son, David Eric Weatherly and wife Karen of Paris, Tennessee; two sisters, Janice Sublett of Denver, Colorado and Nettie Jones and husband Harold of Dexter, Kentucky; two brothers, John Robert Weatherly and wife Bobbie of Murray, Kentucky, and Harry Weatherly and wife Cheryl of Union City, Tennessee; as well as two grandchildren, Luke Warren Weatherly and James David Weatherly both of Paris, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate and the burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
