Mrs. Rubie Elkins, 89 of Almo Heights, KY, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Elizabethtown, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was born May 14, 1921, in Calloway County, KY to the late John Tabors and Myrtle Boggess Tabors Lyons.
Mrs. Elkins is survived by two daughters, Glenda Chrisman of Elizabethtown, KY, and Norma Paschall and husband Gedric of Murray, KY; sister Evelyn Vick of Coldwater, KY; grandchildren, Kim Morgan and husband Doug of Elizabethtown, KY, Chip Chrisman and wife Jennifer of Charlestown, Indiana, Stan Paschall and wife Michelle of Almo, KY, and Stacey Mills and husband Brian of Almo, KY; great-grandchildren, Drew Morgan, Garrett Morgan, Carlie Morgan, Keanen Chrisman, Tess Chrisman, Heatherly Paschall, Abigail Paschall and Bryce Mills.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Elkins is preceded in death by her husband James Oralee Elkins, and brother James Tabors.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Murray Memorial Gardens with Rev. Billy Turner officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday at The J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
