Rudy Barnett

Mr. Rudy Barnett of Murray, Kentucky, died on his 94th birthday, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Rudy worked for the Ford Garage in Murray for 27 years before owning and operating Barnett's Wheel Alignment in Murray until he retired after 25 years; He was a member of the Murray Masonic Lodge F&AM #105; he was a member of the Scott's Grove Baptist Church where he had perfect attendance in the Sunday School program for 40 years; Mr. Barnett was an avid Murray State Racer Basketball fan, missing only one game in nearly 60 years.

He was born in Calloway County, Kentucky April 3, 1919 to the late Jesse Hardin and Lula Louise Houston Barnett. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Nell Keel Barnett on December 24, 2010.

He is survived by one daughter, Judy Harris of Murray, Kentucky; one son Joe Pat Barnett and wife Jane of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Mildred L. Tutt of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Stefani Billington and husband Robert Jr. of Murray Kentucky, Billy Ray Harris and fiancé Wendi Reddick of Murray, Kentucky, Ami Heithoff and husband Craig of Republic Missouri; five great grandchildren, Danielle Harris, Aleah Heithoff, Audrey Heithoff, Trey Billington and Alex Heithoff; two step great grandchildren, Courtney Billington and Houston Billington.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro John Denham and John Mark Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in the Scott's Grove Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 at the funeral home.
