Mr. Russell K. Curd, age 83, of Puryear, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He was retired after being self-employed as a salesman of automotive detail products and had also worked for Murray Division of Tappan for 19 years. He was a member of the Puryear Church of Christ and was an avid bass fisherman. He was a veteran of the United State Air Force.
Mr. Curd was born in Dexter, Kentucky on June 30, 1934 to the late Stafford and Grace L Shoemaker Curd. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Curd and one great-grandchild, Meyer McDaniel.
He is survived by wife, Mildred Jane Robinson Curd of Puryear, Tennessee. They were married in Murray, Kentucky on July 1, 1966. In addition to his wife he is also survived by two daughters, Vanessa McDaniel and husband Randy of Murray, Kentucky and Grace Puckett and husband Maxie of Almo, Kentucky; one son, Cliff Curd and wife Melissa of Paris, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Joey McDaniel and wife Sara, Evan McDaniel, Reid, McDaniel and wife Brittany, Keeli Puckett, Dalton Puckett, Carson Curd and Millie Curd; one great-grandchild, Greyson, McDaniel.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Don Campbell will officiate with burial to follow in the Stewart Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday prior to the funeral from 12:00 noon till the funeral hour at the funeral home.
