Ruth Dial Smith

Mrs. Ruth Dial Smith, 83, of Murray, Kentucky died Tuesday, December 03, 2013 at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 6, 1930 to the late George D. Dial and Ethel (Hubbard) Dial. Mrs. Smith served as the secretary for the president of Memphis Light Gas and Water (M.L.G. & W.) in Memphis, Tennessee before retiring. She was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church in Murray.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis M. Smith, who died in 2000; and by a daughter, Paula Green.
Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Clarence Michael Sims and wife Cynthia of Longwood, Florida, Dr. Dennis M. Smith and wife Julie of Jacksonville, Florida and Mike Smith and wife Nina of Atoka, Tennessee; one sister, Doris D. Irwin of Murray; seven grandchildren, Jason Hubbard of Jackson, Tennessee, Kevin Sims and Keith Sims both of Orlando, Florida, Stacy Minott of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Mindy Henderson of Atoka, Tennessee, Chris Smith of Memphis, Tennessee and Morgan Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; as well as eleven great grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery (South) in Memphis, Tennessee.
