Ruth M. Trimble

Mrs. Ruth Trimble, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky died on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.

Mrs. Trimble was born December 27, 1924 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Thomas Willard Gordon and Beulah B. Rogers Gordon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene W. McManamy, second husband, Russ Trimble; two daughters, Brenda Jo Shaffer and Donna J. Warren; son, Jerry Lane McManamy; two sisters, Kathleen Phelps and Patty Young.

Mrs. Trimble was a retired secretary with Murray State University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she volunteered and sang in the choir.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Melanie S. McManamy of Murray, Kentucky; son-in-law, Glenn B. Shaffer and wife Pat of Magnolia, Kentucky; two sisters, Jo Clark of Murray, Kentucky and Deen Grogan of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Glenn Shaffer and wife Cecilia, Roger Shaffer and wife Lisa, Donna Shaffer and partner Nancy Woodford, Kressa Peterson and husband Tony, Colby Brady and wife Fritzie, Tiffani Groza and husband Mihai, Gene McManamy and partner Benjamin Buddle and Dana McManamy; as well as four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Brett Miles will officiate and burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 9-11 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
