Sadie McClure Carson

Mrs. Sadie McClure Carson, age 88, of Kirksey, Kentucky, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owens Hospice House in Murray.

Mrs. Carson was born on January 23, 1928 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Fred McClure and Mae Vaughn McClure. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carson is preceded in death by her husband, Daymond Carson; three brothers, Floyd McClure, Kynois McClure, and C.W. McClure; four sisters; Mary Kinsolving, Velma Wisehart, and two infant sisters; as well as one great-grandchild, Chase Daniel Morton.

Mrs. Carson was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Murray.

Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Bazzell and husband Phillip of Kirksey, Kentucky, Hazel Morton and husband Danny of Hazel, Kentucky, and Cindy Bergman of Kirksey, Kentucky; three sons, Kenneth Carson and wife Karen of Kirksey, Kentucky, Larry Carson and wife Jeanie of Kirksey, Kentucky, and David Carson and wife Jaime of Kirksey, Kentucky; one brother, Blondie McClure of Murray, Kentucky; eighteen grandchildren, Jason Carson, Seth Carson, Darcie Liddle, Rebecca Lilly, Nathanael Bazzell, Micah Bazzell, Jessie Bazzell, Josh Morton, Raegan Alexander, Kili Hanes, Laramie Carson, Cody Bergman, Halee Bergman, Tyler Carson, Braden Carson, Aubrey Carson, Michelle Crouch and Megan Adams; as well as twenty six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Philip Bazzell will officiate and burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
