Sam Harris

Mr. Sam Harris, 80, of Murray, KY, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at his home. Mr. Harris was born in Memphis, TN on December 10, 1930 to the late Howard Ray Harris and Margaret Mae Tracy Harris. Mr. Harris was the owner and operator of Harris Water Service in Murray and a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Heaven Help Us Sunday School class. Mr. Harris was also a member of the United Methodist Men Group.
In addition to his parents Mr. Harris was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Judy Harris; one son, Billy Harris; and one grandchild, Danielle Harris all of Murray.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Burkeen and Bro. Jim Stahler officiating. Burial to follow in the Scotts Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011 also at the funeral home.
