Sammy "Sam" Edmonson

Mr. Sammy "Sam" Edmonson age 64, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Edmonson was born in Kingston, West Virginia on May 11, 1950 to the late Herbert and Alpha Johnson Edmonson. Mr. Edmonson was retired as an auto technician after 26 years of service with Parker Ford. He was a member at the Old Salem Road Missionary Baptist Church. He was also an Army Vietnam War veteran and a member of the V.F.W.
In addition to his Parents Mr. Edmonson was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Larry, Danny, and Gary Edmonson.
Mr. Edmonson is survived by his wife, Paulette Downey Edmonson of Murray, they married July 26, 1969, in Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Tammy Hale and husband Jason of Murray and Amanda Edmonson and Travis Singleton of Murray; two sons Randy Edmonson and wife Christy of Murray and Adam Edmonson of Murray; two sisters, Martha Hale and husband Bobby of Murray and Joan Shelley and husband Buddy of Fernandina Beach, Florida; seven Grandchildren, Luke and Colby Hale, Ryan Edmonson, Madelynn Edmonson, Nicholas and Nathaniel Sharp and Jeffrey Singleton all of Murray; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. David Cunningham and Bro. Mark Dylan will officiate, and burial will follow in the Old Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.
